Welcome to

PET-HOTLINE

The inspiration to start PET-HOTLINE came one Saturday afternoon in December 2003. I had found a beautiful cat and realized there was no one to call or no where to take her in an effort to find her owner. The idea to start such a service came in a flash and the following Monday morning I arranged to have another phone line installed in my home. PET-HOTLINE became a reality.  NOW there is a place to call 24/7 at NO CHARGE!  No more waiting until the next morning, or worse yet, until Monday to report a lost or found pet.

It's very simple.  Just call 695-PETS (7387) and if no one answers leave your name, a description of the pet, the area of town, and your phone number on the answering machine.  Or you can e-mail me at pethotline.info@gmail.com.  I do not post full names or street addresses online.  If there is a match from a phone call, I will notify that person immediately. Otherwise, I will post the information online.  I can also post a picture, but it has to be less than 150 KB or I can't download it.

If you find a match at some point, you can contact that person and make the necessary arrangements to reunite the pet. I will assume no responsibility for a less than agreeable outcome. Please be careful and be smart when arranging to meet someone. I urge you to meet in a public place and always take someone with you.

Pet-Hotline does not solicit money for the return of a pet.  If anyone tries to do so, please notify me immediately.

Pets are part of our family. When they are lost or hurt, we are devastated.  I know the feeling. To help ease that anguish, I ask that you tell all your friends and family about PET-HOTLINE.

P.S. Please do not have your children call to report a lost or found pet.  I am hesitant to report anything on the Internet without the consent of an adult.
